Kristal Configuration Guide

Before setting up Kristal, make sure you have the latest Aardvark drivers installed. After installing Kristal, run the program. Next, go to the menu at the top and select "Engine", then click on "Preferences".

Then, you should see a screen like this.

Click on "ASIO Aardvark Cards Driver" and under ASIO Inputs, make sure every item is selected. Then click "Apply" (it is very important that you click Apply). Then click on "OK".

Kristal is now setup to use your Aardvark sound card. In order to utilize these new settings, you will need to select which input you want to use for each track. On a Direct Pro 24/96 for instance, to use all four tracks simultaneously, you must select ASIO1  1,2 Direct Pro 24/96 on the first track, ASIO2  1,2 Direct Pro 24/96 on the second track, ASIO3  3,4 Direct Pro 24/96 on the third track, and ASIO4  3,4 Direct Pro 24/96 on the fourth track. If you have a Q10, you would continue in a similar fashion - setting up all the tracks that you plan on using.

I recommend you avoid using the MME inputs due to latency issues.
